General description

  • YBBP series flameproof variable frequency speed regulation three-phase asynchronous motor is suitable for electric driving in underground coal mines (non-excavation working face) and workplaces containing explosive gas mixtures in factories.
  • The motor is matched with the frequency conversion device, and has the advantages of good speed regulation performance, energy saving, large temperature rise margin, long life, good performance, low noise, advanced explosion-proof structure, high reliability, and convenient use and maintenance. The motor has a wide range of speed regulation. Under the condition of open-loop U/f control, 3~50Hz constant torque speed regulation, 50~100Hz is constant power speed regulation. Under the condition of vector control, the speed regulation range can also be expanded , The overload capacity is strong, and it can withstand 160% overload of the rated torque for 1min.
  • YBBP variable frequency speed regulation three-phase asynchronous motor is used in light industry, textile, chemical industry, petroleum, metallurgy, machine tool, water pump and other industries.
  • YBBP series motors are electrically equipped with independent cooling fans at the rear. The installation dimensions of YBBP series flameproof variable frequency speed regulation three-phase asynchronous motors are the same as those of YB2 series motors. This series of motors complies with the national standards GB3836.1 “Explosive Atmospheres Part 1: General Requirements for Equipment” and GB3836.2 “Explosive Atmospheres Part 2: Equipment Protected by Flameproof Enclosure “d”. The electrical performance complies with the provisions of JB/T 11201.1-2011 “Technical Conditions for Flameproof Variable Frequency Speed ​​Regulation Three-phase Asynchronous Motor Part 1: YBBP Series Flameproof Variable Frequency Speed ​​Regulation Three-phase Asynchronous Motor (Frame No. 80~355)”. The power rating and installation dimensions of this series of motors comply with the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) standards.

Structure description

  • The protection grade of the motor body shell is IP55
  • The stator winding of the motor adopts polyester enameled round copper wire. The stator core winding is treated with VPI dipping paint to make it a whole. The winding and insulation have good electrical, mechanical, moisture-proof performance and thermal stability. The rotor is a squirrel-cage rotor, and the cast aluminum rotor is fixed on the shaft by the shrink-fit process. After the rotor is calibrated and balanced, the motor runs smoothly and has little vibration.
  • The basic structure and installation type of this series of motors are IMB3, IMB35, IMB5, IMV1, which can be manufactured according to the special needs of users.
  • The cooling method of the motor is IC411 fully enclosed self-fan cooling or IC416 forced ventilation.
  • The motor has a cylindrical shaft extension, which is driven by a coupling or a spur gear. When the motor is driven by a spur gear, the diameter of the pitch circle shall not be less than 3 times the diameter of the shaft extension. According to the order requirements, double shaft extension motors or special shaft extension motors can also be produced.
  • The motor junction box is located on the top of the frame. There are 3 terminals in the junction box for single voltage; or six terminals for dual voltage.
  • The stator winding is equipped with a stator winding temperature measuring element, and the user needs to set up a temperature protection device.
  • The motor adopts rolling bearings, and the bearing grades refer to the regulations on the motor nameplate; the inertial part of the motor shaft adopts a V-shaped shaft seal ring or a skeleton oil seal structure.

Conditions of use of the motor

Use environmental conditions:

  • The maximum temperature of ambient air varies with the season, but does not exceed +40℃.
  • The minimum temperature of ambient air is -15℃.
    Note: If the motor is designated to be used at an altitude of more than 1000m or the maximum ambient air temperature is higher or lower than +40°C, it shall comply with the provisions of GB755.
  •  The average maximum relative humidity in the wettest month of ambient air is 90%, and the average minimum temperature in this month is not higher than 25℃.
  • Places with explosive mixtures of combustible gas or vapor and air with ignition temperature group T1~T4.

Electrical conditions for motor use

  • The rated frequency is 50Hz, and the frequency modulation range is 3~60Hz for 2 poles, 3~100Hz for 4 poles and above. 3-50Hz is constant torque, above 50Hz is constant power.
  • The rated voltage of the motor with frame size 132 and below is 380V or 660V; the rated voltage of the motor with frame size 160~225 is 380/660V; the rated voltage of the motor with frame size 250 and above is 380/660V, 660/ 1140V. When the rated voltage of the motor is 380/660V, use a three-phase AC variable frequency power supply with a rated voltage of 380V or 660. When the rated voltage of the motor is 660/1140V, use a three-phase AC variable frequency power supply with a rated voltage of 660V or 1140V.
  • The motor should be used with the frequency converter. The frequency converter is of current type or voltage type. It is recommended to use an explosion-proof frequency converter with the same explosion-proof level as the motor.
  • The working mode of the motor is S1 (continuous duty).
  • The motor stator winding adopts 155(F) or 180(H) class insulation system.
  • The power supply of the small motor for forced ventilation is an independent three-phase AC power supply with a rated voltage of 380V or 660V and a rated frequency of 50Hz (the voltage can also be determined by agreement according to user requirements).
  • For the motor whose cooling method is IC411, the frequency modulation range is 3-60Hz, which is mainly suitable for square-law load (also called square-decreased torque load); for the motor whose cooling method is IC416, 3-50Hz is suitable for constant torque load ; 50Hz and above for constant power load
